The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons has revealed a dramatic condition under which he'd consider returning to the iconic character of Sheldon Cooper.
Parsons portrayed Sheldon throughout the show's run and made a recent appearance in the finale of the prequel series Young Sheldon alongside Big Bang Theory costar Mayim Bialik.
In a recent chat with E! News, Parsons set the record straight about his return as Sheldon Cooper in a potential Big Bang Theory sequel.
Parsons stated that the only way he'd consider reprising the role would be through “reincarnation” in the “next lifetime.”
He also added, “Look, never say never to anything. Life is long, God willing. But I don't think so.”
The Big Bang Theory, which premiered in 2007 on CBS, was a wildly successful sitcom that aired for 12 seasons.
The show revolved around the lives of five characters in their 20s: Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Penny, Howard Wolowitz, and Raj Koothrappali. It humorously depicted their socially awkward personal lives and burgeoning careers.
The show's popularity led to the creation of a prequel series titled Young Sheldon, focusing on the childhood of Sheldon Cooper, portrayed by Jim Parsons.
Another new Big Bang Theory spin-off is also in the works, titled Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, which centers around the characters Georgie Cooper and Mandy McAllister.
