Six zombie posters for Deep Silver’s Dead Island 2 video game have been released via the Dead Island Instagram account, two months ahead of the new release date. The sequel to Dead Island was originally announced back in 2014, being delayed for various years but the studio seems dead set on the 2023 release date.
Despite the 2022 announcement for Dead Island 2‘s 2023 release date, the sequel game was delayed yet again and was pushed back by a couple of months. However, that hasn’t stopped the Dead Island team from keeping up with new updates on what fans can expect to get their hands on once the game finally becomes available to the public.
The latest is six brand new zombie character posters, featuring zombie types that some eager fans may be familiar with already, which truly shows off the talented visuals that the team behind the game has crafted for us all. The zombie types include the following: Crusher, Slobber, Screamer, Runner, Walker, and Shambler.
See all six new character graphics plus the official caption for each zombie from the Dead Island Instagram account below, along with all the images. The six new posters are split into two categories, normal and apex zombies, the apex zombies being presented with a blue-ish purple background with the normal zombies having more of an orange to red backdrop – making it even more clear that the apex zombies will be the tough ones to beat in the game.

Dead Island 2 comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows on the 28th of April, 2023.
