7 Marvel Villains That Have Yet To Appear In The MCU

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has built up an incredibly impressive list of movies since 2008. However, the list of characters yet to appear in the fold are minuscule, relative to the comics. There is an even larger list of characters from Marvel Comics that could still show up, including villains.

The MCU has probably had the largest volume of fan castings and requests sent their way in the whole industry.

Kevin Feige himself has stated in the past that he would love to see everyone from the comics jump into the MCU. So it is really just a waiting game more than a guessing game on who will be introduced next.

7 M.O.D.O.K

Marvel's M.O.D.O.K

M.O.D.O.K is well known in the Marvel fandom, which is probably why they are saving his addition to the MCU. There were whispers last year that George Tarleton (AKA M.O.D.O.K) was attached to the She-Hulk series. Although it was never really anything more than whispers, as nothing more came out of it.

Jim Carrey has also been rumored to be playing the MCU’s M.O.D.O.K this past year. However, Carrey did announce that he is planning on taking a long and well-deserved break. So this could have just been fake news being spread online, as most things are these days.

6 Namor

Now although Namor isn’t exactly an actual villain of sorts, he is still worthy to be included in this list. Namor may be an anti-hero but he has come across as a villain to many Marvel heroes in the past. Black Panther himself has faced Namor, multiple times, with Namor rumored to be appearing in the Black Panther sequel.

Namor has been one of the highest requested characters to appear in the MCU for many years now. However, this year may answer those requests if we’re lucky enough to see him on the big screen.

5 The Sentry/ The Void

Robert Reynolds, AKA ‘The Sentry’ or ‘The Void’, is a must-have for this list, and I’ll tell you why. The Sentry is both a complex and massively interesting character. The Sentry himself is actually a superhero really, what he carries within him is a villain known as ‘The Void’.

One simple way to put it is that Sentry has another personality known as ‘The Void’ that is a dark and villainous character. One Sentry storyline in the comics included Reynolds wiping everyone’s memory of him similar to what Peter does in No Way Home. What some have speculated might indicate we will never see that Sentry storyline come to fruition in the MCU.

Although, if the comics did it twice, so can Kevin Feige.

4 Magneto

Now, this is an obvious choice but also a necessary one as Magneto would make MCU history if added. This was once just a fan’s dream but with Marvel Studios acquiring the rights back to the X-Men movies, it might come true.

Plus, Patrick Stewart’s Professor X is widely known now to be appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

So could this mean we will get Magneto one day too? It could be a huge hint that the MCU isn’t just willing to bring back the original cast, but also the cast from the rebooted version too. Michael Fassbender could very well be facing off against the Avengers one day, you never know.

3 Doctor Doom

Ah, Doctor Doom, how I long to see you be given true justice in a live-action Marvel franchise.

Marvel Studios didn’t just buy the rights back for X-Men, they also acquired the rights back for the Fantastic Four. Meaning that Doctor Doom might show up any day now, well in an MCU movie or series anyway.

It is no secret that the Fantastic Four are finally coming to the MCU, as the movie has already been announced. So Doctor Doom is almost an obligatory addition, but will he appear in the Fantastic Four movie first? Probably not if you ask me, I’m guessing that we will see old Victor von Doom be teased in something else prior to the movie.

2 Maximus Boltagon

If you’ve heard of the Inhumans, you’ve probably heard of the Inhuman villain ‘Maximus Boltagon’.

Although the television series Inhumans was an instant flop, don’t let that fool you on how cool the Inhumans really are. Maximus Boltagon is basically an Inhuman royal family member and is also both a genius and somewhat evil. The worthiest mention for Maximus Boltagon is that he is the brother of Inhuman leader Black Bolt.

Black Bolt is also an Illuminati member and widely hoped to be in the Doctor Strange 2 movie, as Marvel’s Illuminati will appear. There’s so much more I could talk about Maximus Boltagon, such as his ties to Ms. Marvel, but I will save that for a future article.

1 Galactus

Drumroll, please.

This isn’t a ranked list, but if it was, Galactus would easily be taken the number one spot today. Galactus has never, never, been given any true justice in a live-action Marvel franchise. However, he was the main villain in the sequel to Fantastic Four (not the MCU version), but we won’t talk about that here.

If you thought Thanos and the Infinity Saga was something, just wait until they get around to getting this guy to come into it. Kevin Feige is a genius and a man with a plan when it comes to building the MCU. However, Kang is currently set to be the main foe of the next few phases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so don’t expect Galactus anytime soon.
