Update (May 18, 2023 – 11:15 BST) – Disney Studios has also provided a comment to CoveredGeekly that the release date has yet to be confirmed.
Disney reaffirmed yesterday on Tuesday, May 16 during their upfront that Ahsoka Season 1 was still heading for an August release for Disney+, however, a specific date was not revealed during Kathleen Kennedy’s first-ever Disney upfront presentation.
Less than a day later, the release date has reportedly been revealed online via Disney Movie Insiders to be August 31, something that has yet to be officially announced by the cast, crew, and studio behind the upcoming Star Wars spin-off series, and could potentially just be a placeholder.
When Does ‘Ahsoka’ Season 1 Come Out?
Update: Disney has now removed the release date from the Disney Movie Insiders page, it has still yet to be confirmed as to whether or not August 31 is indeed the release date for Ahsoka Season 1.
The Ahsoka listing on Disney Movie Insiders reads “Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. Star Wars Ahsoka is coming to Disney+ on August 31, 2023!* Add the official teaser poster to your Star Wars poster collection. Poster is double-sided mirror image format; standard 27″ W x 40″ H sizing. Poster ships in triangular tube for protection.”

The site itself is an official source, however, as mentioned above, the first season of Disney’s Ahsoka series has yet to have its release date officially announced by the studio, cast, and/ or crew, hence why this date may just be a placeholder.

As per IMDB, the currently confirmed cast for the Mando-verse spin-off includes Rosario Dawson who stars as the titular character Ahsoka Tano, Hayden Christensen who returns as Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader, Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, David Tennant who will reprise his animated role Huyang in live-action form, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hatim Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, with Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, and Lars Mikkelsen who will also be reprising his animated role Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action form for the first time.
Ahsoka Season 1 will reportedly release to Disney+ on August 31, 2023.
