The Rhino was confirmed at CinemaCon 2023 to be playing a part in Sony’s upcoming Marvel movie Kraven the Hunter, which will see Aaron Taylor-Johnson play the titular character who is famously known as being a villain to Spider-Man, with actor Alessandro Nivola now being confirmed to be playing the role who was last seen played by Paul Giamatti in the live-action The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Nivolo told The Hollywood Reporter “I only transform, physically, in the final moments of the movie, so it’s just a classic villain role,” Nivola said. “It had a really interesting, complex psychology and personal history to draw on, and the movie has a time jump in it, so the character changes a lot from the way he is in the beginning of the film. It was as much of an acting opportunity as any other film I’ve done.”

Nivola has appeared in various projects, with some being The Many Saints of Newark, American Hustle, and the Nicolas Cage and John Travolta classic Face/Off, now dipping his toes into the world of Marvel, Kraven The Hunter is set to be on of the highest anticipated comic book movies of this year.
Kraven the Hunter comes to theatres on October 6, 2023.
