Ana Thu Nguyen (Suka) has been cast as Queen Sindel in Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema‘s live-action sequel movie Mortal Kombat 2.
Sindel is a character known well by Mortal Kombat fans as she has appeared in many instalments of the game series up to date.
Mortal Kombat 2 is the official sequel to the first 2021 instalment of the live-action Mortal Kombat remake. Sindel was missing from the first movie’s impressive roster. Nguyen’s Sindel is set to now be introduced alongside Martyn Ford’s Shao Kahn.
Who Is Queen Sindel In Mortal Kombat?
Mortal Kombat‘s King Jerrod also known as Jerod, who has never had much of a visual presence in the game series, is also set to appear – with actor Desmond Chiam (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) set to play the part.
King Jerrod was the husband of Queen Sindel and both ruled over the lands of Edenia. However, Jerrod’s time came to an unpleasant end when Shao Kahn and his forces stormed in and took Jerrod’s life leaving Sindel widowed and alone… sort of.

If anything like the games, Sindel and Shao Kahn will most likely be in cahoots with one another. The two will also most likely be the main antagonists of the movie.
Another character to mention is none other than Sindel’s daughter Kitana who was recently announced to be played by Adeline Rudolph in the sequel.
Kitana is famously known for having somewhat of a romance storyline with Liu Kang who is already played by Ludi Lin (Power Rangers).
