Tim Burton is knees-deep into development for Beetlejuice 2, the sequel to the classic 1988 Beetlejuice starring Michael Keaton as the titular character, now, over 3 decades later, returning crew and cast members will be bringing the franchise back to life in 2024.
Main Crew
As mentioned, Tim Burton will be returning to direct and serve as executive producer, alongside Alfred Gough, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg who are credited on the writing side of things. Producing with Burton are David Geffen, Seth Grahame-Smith, Tommy Harper, David Katzenberg, and Marc Toberoff.
Music
It may come as no shock to hear that legendary composer Danny Elfman will be returning to score the sequel, a common pairing as Elfman and Burton have worked hand-in-hand on various titles throughout the last few decades.
Cast
Confirmed cast so far included Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, Monica Bellucci as Beetlejuice’s Wife, Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz, with Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe.
There have been reports online that claim Johnny Depp has joined the cast of Beetlejuice 2, however, this has not been announced or confirmed by the cast and crew.
