According to new information from IMDB Pro, Adam Hann-Byrd (Jumanji, The Ice Storm) has been cast as the voice of Freddy Fazbear, the titular character, with Stacey DePass (6Teen, Ruby Gloom) being cast as the voice of Chica.
The news seems to have been first reported by a Twitter user called JonnyBlox, who wrote to the social media platform:
“According to IMDbPro, Adam Hann-Byrd will be providing the voice and motion capture for Freddy Fazbear in Blumhouse’s upcoming ‘FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S’ film! Stacey DePass will also be providing the voice and motion capture for Chica!”
The default IMDB page for the live-action Five Nights At Freddy’s movie has yet to add the two cast members to the list of stars, with no official announcement from the cast and crew of the project being made as of writing this article.
The official cast so far for Blumhouse’s FNAF movie includes Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa, Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, Matthew Lillard as William Afton, aka the Purple Guy, Mary Stuart Masterson as “female villain”, along with Kat Conner Sterling as Max, with various other cast members set to bring the game’s storyline into the live-action realm.
Hann-Byrd, who has been reported to be voicing the titular character of Freddy Fazbear, is known for playing the younger version of Robin Williams’ Alan Parrish in the original 1995 movie Jumanji, with many credits in his acting career.
DePass is known for voicing characters in various projects throughout the years, from animated titles such as Ruby Gloom to high-budget video games such as Far Cry 5.
Blumhouse’s Five Nights At Freddy’s movie is expected to release sometime in 2024.
