Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is right around the corner but that doesn’t mean the fight is over. It’s time for you to redeploy into the second half of the season.
Reloaded will feature new outfits, weapons, maps, modes and so much more! Want to know what to look out for when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 Reloaded launches, well like always, CoveredGeekly has got you covered.
MW3 Carry-Over
It has been mentioned before but we’ll say it again for anyone that’s not sure yet. Carry Forward is a feature that will allow you to bring over your Modern Warfare 2 weapons, operators and cosmetics into Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer and Modern Warfare Zombies.
In addition to all of this, there will also be new content being introduced in Modern Warfare 3. With Season 5 currently still taking place and the unannounced Season 6 on its way, this is the perfect opportunity to prepare for Modern Warfare 3.
No matter if you max out the 60+ weapons currently in the game or the three new weapons launching with Season 5 Reloaded, you’ll be able to take everything you unlock with you into Modern Warfare 3 on Day One.
There’s no need to worry because as soon as you unlock Create-A-Class in Modern Warfare 3, your loadouts from Modern Warfare 2 will be fully available for you to use.
For those of you Hardcore players who have achieved Gold, Platinum, Polyatomic or Orion camos on your gun, you’ll be able to show these off on day one in Modern Warfare 3.
Your weapon mastery emblems and charms, stickers, prestige emblems, calling cards and any other cosmetics will also be available in Warzone.
Do note that Modern Warfare 2 camos can only be used on Modern Warfare 2 weapons, you’ll not be able to put them on Modern Warfare 3 weapons.
Nearly every operator you own from the special guests released in Season 5 Reloaded to the Blackcell and Battle Pass rewards.
They’ll be playable in Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer and Zombies.
Warzone
Many new changes are coming to Warzone, we got some new modes and some updates with DMZ. The first of which is Fort Resurgence.
Fort Resurgence will be getting its own playlist at launch that will be separate from the Resurgence rotation that features Ashika Island and Vondel.
If you aren’t familiar with Resurgence then it is a mode that normally holds up to 54 or 72 players depending on the map.
As long as your teammate is alive, you can redeploy after a 15-second countdown during the first playzone, during the second and third play zone, the time runs for 39 seconds and after that, once the time runs out after 9 minutes and 15 seconds, you won’t be able to respawn after being killed and if you kill a player, it’ll highlight their teammates on the map.
If you’re a fan of vehicular combat then a fan fav from the original Warzone is returning in an all-new version. Armoured Royale is going to be available for Quads during Season 5 Reloaded.
Every squad gets assigned an MRAP vehicle at the start and as long as your vehicle doesn’t get destroyed then you can redeploy.
Each squad can upgrade their MRAP to get better offensive or defensive capabilities via the upgrade station which can be found on each individual vehicle.
Gas Stations are expected to be the hot spot on Al Mazrah as squads will need to make repairs and grab fuel.
Finally, the last update for Warzone comes to DMZ. Shadow Company will be getting three tiers of missions following the Reloaded patch.
The missions will include getting a Heavy Chopper or an MRAP, extracting leftover gas canisters from the Observatory’s underground lab, and going face-to-face with a Commander known by his call sign “Rhino”.
Of course, you will be nicely rewarded for your efforts and some of the rewards will be able to get carried over to Modern Warfare 3.
To add onto that, operators will be able to unlock additional permanent benefits by completing the new Communication Station upgrade tasks in Season 5 Reloaded.
The upgrades you can find here include, increasing the length of the UAV Tower and SAM Sites, so make sure to check what your mission objectives are to get these in-match boons.
Modern Warfare
Next up is the Modern Warfare Multiplayer updates that are arriving with Season 5 Reloaded.
First up, the visitor centre that’s opposite Building 21 is all ready for Combat now DRC- Zone 1 is built for fast-paced combat with many shortcuts and flanking routes.
Not a lot is known yet about DRC – Zone 1 but a deep dive tactical guide to the map will be released prior to the Reloaded update.
A new game mode is coming to Modern Warfare. If you love using Secondaries, Lethals or Tacticals then forget about it.
This mode is only for the masters of Snipers and Marksman Rifles. All gunfight maps are made available for this new mode; watch your duo’s six and all the angles where long shots could come from.
Another neat addition to Modern Warfare is a new social feature that should’ve been in the game since launch but it is nice to see it get added now.
In Season 5 Reloaded you’ll be able to select the “Play Again” feature just like in Warzone.
If you’re playing solo or you’re the team leader then you can press this button and stick together for the next match.

The first weapon being showcased here is the heavy-duty pickaxe that will take down your enemies silently but deadly. If you want to unlock this, you’ll have to get 15 Operator kills with melee weapons, this shouldn’t be too hard if you grab a Riot Shield.
9MM Daemon
The next weapon is the 9mm Daemon, it’s deadly from the hip and features the best-in-class semi-automatic fire rate.
Whether you choose to use this weapon solo or as an akimbo, the 9mm Daemon is true to its name. If you want to unlock this weapon then you must get 15 Operator Headshot Kills with Pistols.
Lachmann Shroud
The final weapon being added into Season 5 Reloaded will be the Lachmann Shroud. This stealthy and lethal 9mm submachine gun features both burst and semi-auto fire mode which allows the player considerable mobility and stopping power out to the mid-range.
If you would like to unlock this weapon, you’ll have to complete all four initial sector E0 challenges (including unlocking the 9mm Daemon and Pickaxe), then get the 30 Operator Hipfire kills with SMGs.
