Cara Delevingne has been making the rounds across the Formula One world since saying “no” to being interviewed by the well-known F1 interviewer Martin Brundle.
Brundle attempted to interview Delevingne on the Formula One starting grid where Delevingne is seen flat-out refusing any interview despite the interviewer reminding people about the rule that one must talk to reporters when standing on the grid.
You can watch the awkward interaction between Delevingne and Brundle at the 2023 British Grand Prix event below.
This all occurred during the British Grand Prix where Delevingne was spotted mixing with others on the starting grid as it is common for celebrities to attend these events.
Brundle can be heard saying “She doesn’t want to talk but everybody needs to talk on the grid and that’s the deal now, everybody talks on the grid” in the above video.
Just moments before he makes his final attempt to talk to the Suicide Squad star to which Delevingne simply says “no” when being asked to “have a quick chat”.
Their slightly awkward interaction doesn’t last long before Brundle gives up and leaves whilst slyly insulting the star by sarcastically telling his listeners “Well, okay, I’m sure it would have been extremely interesting.”
Cara Delevingne Responds
Delevingne has since responded and added clarity as to what really happened during the now gone-viral moment during the recent Grand Prix event.
Devin Altieri first wrote to Twitter: “You can clearly see the PR rep tell him “no” and shake his head when he goes up towards Cara Delevingne. He had an out and he chose not to take it to make a statement.”
To which Delevingne responded with: “I was told to say no so I did. Thank you for seeing both sides xxx”.
“When does your agent rule you say just say hello I’m excited for today I’ve got nothing left to have a nice day” is what one commenter had to say, which Delevingne added even more clarity to by replying “It wasn’t an agent, it was an F1 representative”.
Clarifying that Delevingne only said no to the interviewer, Brundle, due to being told not to talk by an official Formula One representative for reasons currently unknown.
Brundle and F1 have yet to make an official comment on Delevingne’s update.
