It has almost been a whole decade since Channing Tatum was announced to be playing the live-action X-Men character known as Gambit.
Despite the large announcement, Tatum’s live-action Gambit just never came to be, however, that may change in Marvel Studios’ 2024 movie Deadpool 3.

According to a new rumour shared by industry tipper MTTSH, Tatum has “already filmed a cameo as Gambit” for the now MCU-set Deadpool threequel.
Channing Tatum Might Finally Get To Play Gambit
It was only earlier this year that Tatum told Vanity Fair that he still calls the studio “every once in a while” despite “emotionally, kind of mentally” letting it go.

Prior to Tatum being announced to be starring as the live-action Gambit, The Terminal List star Taylor Kitsch was last to play the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
However, there has been no news as to if Gambit fans will get to see Kitsch reprise the role for a multiversal cameo in the upcoming Deadpool instalment.
Hugh Jackman is set to return as Logan aka Wolverine alongside Reynolds who also returns to star as the titular merc with a mouth.
Judging by the plethora of rumours that have flooded the web this past year, along with what we know about the upcoming sequel so far, it’s safe to expect that anything is possible for Deadpool 3, including cameos such as Tatum’s Gambit.
This news has not yet been confirmed, however, by the cast and crew of the movie.
Deadpool 3 is currently set to release on May 3, 2024.
