Daredevil fans have already been treated to two appearances of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, both in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Disney Plus‘ She-Hulk. However, what fans are truly waiting for is the recently announced Daredevil show ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, which is coming in 2024.
The fourth, and technically first, installment of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil franchise has had an array of reports emerge online in these past few weeks, but now Charlie Cox has had the chance to speak publicly. Charlie Cox attended the GermanComicCon and shared some pretty interesting thoughts he has for Daredevil.
Charlie Cox Talks Daredevil and Deadpool 3
During the Charlie Cox and Elden Henson panel at GermanComicCon, Elden who played Foggy during the Netflix run of Daredevil, Charlie treated the attendees to some pretty interesting thoughts he has about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When talking about the upcoming Daredevil series, Charlie said that he believes Daredevil will have “a place for Daredevil to show up in Deadpool”, he said that “the tone of” the next Daredevil “show” would justify this.
What Does This Mean For Born Again?
Despite the fact that Daredevil came across as a more lighter and comedic character in She-Hulk, his Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home still had that old Netflix-themed version.
So if Charlie Cox believes that “the tone of the show” would earn his Daredevil a spot to appear in Deadpool, what could this mean for the future of the man without fear? Does Charlie believe this to be true because the show will be funny, similar to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, or because it will be more mature like it was on Netflix?
Sadly, we just won’t know until some solid and concrete information is officially released, but the expectations are high for this revival. It may become one of Marvel Studios’ most anticipated Disney Plus series as of yet.
