Thor: Love and Thunder, starring Chris Hemsworth, just wasn’t as well received as its predecessor Thor: Ragnarok.
The reception to Hemsworth’s fourth solo movie in the MCU was similar to how the second Thor movie was received by fans.
Since the release of Love and Thunder, there has been no official announcement in regards to Chris Hemsworth returning to the MCU as Thor.
However, it is highly possible that they will want him to return, as bad reviews never got in the way of green lighting the third movie.
Chris Hemsworth On Returning As Thor
In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz, Chris Hemsworth offered some of his thoughts and confirmations when talking about the future of Thor.
When asked about the future of Thor, he confirmed that he doesn’t know if he will be “invited back”, although this could just be another infamous lie.
It is known that actors from large franchises are told to keep everything a secret when doing press, he does seem pretty convincing in the video though.
