Somebody better get Captain America… Chris Pratt’s MCU character Star-Lord dropped an unexpected f-bomb in the latest clip released from James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, marking the first-ever f-bomb to be said in a Marvel Cinematic Universe project from Marvel Studios.
Despite the f-bomb being bleeped out in the new official clip, speculation has started to rise on the web that Pratt’s dialogue will be uncensored during the theatrical viewing of the movie unless the bleep makes its way onto the screen or the f-bomb is replaced with alternative dialogue that is.
“Open the fu**ing door.”

This wouldn’t be the first time that alternative dialogue has been used to replace a curse word in an MCU project, however, bad language is typically replaced in promotional footage with something friendlier such as when Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is heard saying the word “crap” as opposed to the word “sh*t” being said during a scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 comes to theatres on May 5, 2023.
