The live-action adaptation of the classic animated movie Lilo & Stitch has had a whirlwind of news announcements as of late, now with the latest news being that Chris Sanders is in final talks to return as the voice of Stitch for the 2024 Disney+ reboot, the original voice actor from the 2002 movie.
This news comes after the recent announcements that newcomer Maia Kealoha has been cast as the live-action Lilo, and Sydney Elizebeth Agudong’s casting as the live-action Nani, sister to Lilo.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of Sander’s casting, with rumours and reports already being on the web for some time now that the original Stitch voice actor would be returning to star in the live-action reboot, something that the original fans will surely be thrilled about.
Joining Sanders will be newcomer Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as Nani, Kaipo Dudoit as David, Tia Carrere who originally voiced Nani now playing Mrs. Kekoa, Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, Billy Magnusson as Pleakley, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, and Amy Hill as a new character Tūtū.
The live-action Lilo & Stitch reboot is set to be released as an exclusive to Disney’s giant streaming platform, Disney Plus, making it one of the most anticipated 2024 releases for the streamer, with millions of fans worldwide eager to see the finished product.
The live-action remake of Disney’s Lilo & Stitch is set to come out sometime in 2024.
