Warner Bros. Pictures officially confirmed at CinemaCon today that Final Destination 6 is officially in the works with Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein directing and Jon Watts set to both produce plus write the story treatment, a sequel that has been awaited for by its fanbase since 2011.
Director Zach Lipovsky has got quite the track record of fun and gory projects, with titles such as the 2018 movie Freaks and 2014 flick Leprechaun: Origins under his belt, with Adam B. Stein co-directing this new sequel who also provided direction for Freaks, both recently serving as directors for multiple episodes of the Mech-X4 series for the Disney Channel.
Jon Watts served as director for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ entire Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland, with additional titles such as Cop Car, The Old Man, and more, Watts is shaping up to be the go-to guy to work when it comes to studios needing assistance rebooting old franchises.

Casting and plot details for the new Final Destination instalment are currently being kept tightly under wraps, with the assumption that the movie is in early development, however, news is expected to follow throughout the following months of 2023.
