MODOK has been a member of the Marvel Comics family for a very long time, far longer than the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been going on for, and now he’s finally here.
During the new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, we got a very good look at the live-action MCU adaptation of MODOK – the iconic villain that many fans love to hate.
One fact may have gone unnoticed by those who haven’t heard the rumours from the past year that Corey Stoll would be the actor playing him. Corey Stoll is the actor who plays the brilliant villain Yellowjacket/Darren Cross in the first Ant-man film.
However, it hasn’t been confirmed if he is still playing Darren Cross that has just so happened to become the MCU’s MODOK instead of George Tarleton. In this crazy time of the multiversal-mad MCU, we just have to assume that anything is possible – which was made very clear in the latest trailer.
Corey Stoll’s casting was spotted instantly while the trailer aired, as his enlarged face inside the famous hovering and mechanical MODOK suit just says it all.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes to cinemas on the 17th of February, 2023.
