Daniel Radcliffe has been quite adamant that he wants nothing to do with the upcoming Harry Potter series set to remake the whole franchise over at HBO.
Radcliffe, as many fans worldwide are well aware of, starred as the titular character in the eight live-action Harry Potter movies that are still rewatched yearly by millions.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced the first attempt at a remake is now in the works and this time in series form for their streaming service Max.
Since the announcement, many fans of J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World have wondered if any original stars will be returning to the franchise.
Such as rumours that Tom Felton who originally starred as Draco Malfoy may be in talks to return as the father of Draco, Lucius, this time round.
Daniel Radcliffe Would Find This Character Fun To Play
During an interview with The Movie Dweeb about his fourth season of Miracle Workers: End Times, Radcliffe admitted who he’d find fun playing.
Despite Radcliffe being fairly firm in the past in regard to not wanting to return and pass the torch to the next star, the Guns Akimbo star kindly played along when being asked who would he play if he “had to pick one character from the Harry Potter franchise to play in the HBO series”.
“A moving portrait? I’m trying to think what’s the fun role that’s not too many days. I don’t know, I always thought that one of the great characters in the series is Sirius Black because obviously that’s super.”

It first sounds as if maybe Radcliffe would potentially be interested in playing the role of Sirius Black, previously portrayed by Gary Oldman.
However, he quickly turns any shed of hope for fans who want him to return as he confirms that there would be “no world” in which he would do this.
“But there’s no – I don’t think that there is any – In fact, I can tell you, there is no world in which where I will actually be playing that character.”

Despite there being “no world” where fans would see Radcliffe take on the role of Harry Potter’s Godfather, he admits it would still be “fun to play”.

Due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, both the casting and writing process for HBO’s Harry Potter series will be on hold for now.
It has been said by Warner Bros. that they will be in search of new names to star as iconic characters such as Harry Potter, Rob Weasley, and Hermione Granger, among the many other characters from Rowling’s novel series.
