Daredevil: Born Again is planned to be Marvel Studios’ longest Disney+ series ever, but it has also managed to break the record for their longest-ever production; starting on March 6, with an end nowhere in sight.
However, we do have a good idea of what the series’ cast is comprised of, thanks to trade reports, official announcements, and most recently, a copyright registration.
Daredevil: Born Again Details
During the initial announcement of the series during Marvel Studios’ SDCC presentation, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio were the only cast members announced for the series.
In late 2022, Michael Gandolfini, Sandrine Holt and Margarita Levieva were confirmed to be playing significant roles in the upcoming series. Nikki M. James joined the cast of the series in January 2023.
After the series began filming on March 6, more news regarding the cast surfaced. John Bernthal was confirmed to be returning as the Punisher, and Clark Johnson was confirmed to be directing and playing a recurring role. Arty Froushan was confirmed to have a major role as well.
However, other actors from the Netflix Daredevil series were, and are still not expected to return. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who played characters, Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, respectively, are not set to reprise their roles for the series.
Vanessa Fisk, who was portrayed by Ayelet Zurer in the Netflix Daredevil series, was also recast; with Sandrine Holt playing Kingpin’s love interest in the MCU reboot.

After the WGA strike began on May 2nd, the production of the series was delayed numerous times and ultimately put on hold after the SAG-AFTRA strike commenced as well. The WGA strike ended after several months of negotiations, and the SAG strike is still ongoing, which is an impediment to the production process.
A newly-filed preregistration for Daredevil: Born Again has confirmed the characters played by some of the cast members, and has also revealed new members of the cast itself. It also gave fans a release update, as well as a brief description of the show.
