Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again series will reportedly begin filming next week with some of the crew members already arriving in New York which is where filming will take place for the show. There have been various reports over the last couple of months as to when the new Daredevil series starring Charlie Cox commences, however, this new report seems to confirm that Marvel Studios will indeed begin filming sometime next week.
The new series will consist of 18 episodes, making it the longest Disney Plus series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as of yet, with over double the episodes of some prior MCU Disney Plus shows. Confirmed stars so far are Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt, and Nikki M. James. However, details on who else will be starring in the series are being kept tightly under wraps, with fans speculating about the return of Cox’s old Netflix cast members.
Daredevil: Born Again Filming Report
This new report comes from Twitter user @AndyBu31hn (Caro Andy), who seems to be one of the crew members working on Daredevil: Born Again, with a tweet originally written in Spanish that translates to “In a couple of weeks we start recording Born Again I will be in the project from start to finish God willing. So excited!!!!”.
Another tweet from the same user comes in the form of an image, revealing various crew members from Daredevil: Born Again landing in New York, captioned with “Hello NY #DaredevilBornAgain#TeamMarvel”, which comes only days after the previous piece of information. Suggesting with hashtags that they have arrived in New York for Daredevil: Born Again, just as planned, with filming set to begin in the next week or so.
Everything We Might Know So Far
Details on the series are being very tightly sealed, especially when it comes to who the majority of the confirmed cast is playing, and who else may be starring in the whopping 18-episode Disney Plus series. There have been some theories and rumours circulating the web, such as that Deborah Ann Woll may be too busy to film for the series, Woll who played Karen Page during the Netflix-Marvel era.
Industry insider Daniel Richatman also reported that the series will be aiming for a TV-MA rating, however confirmation on whether that is true or not has yet to be announced by the studio. Charlie Cox himself even announced to the world that he is hoping his version of Daredevil will meet Deadpool, which is a collab that the MCU fandom has shown an extreme desire for over the last couple of years. It has also been stated by Cox that he may quit playing Daredevil for the MCU if the new series doesn’t impress the fans.
Daredevil: Born Again is currently set to release sometime in 2024.
