James Gunn has officially placed Andy Muschietti in the director’s chair to helm the DCU’s first Batman movie The Brave and the Bold. Similar to Marvel Studios, Gunn and Peter Safran have drafted up a list of slated titles with Muschietti’s Batman movie being one of them.
Muschietti’s current contribution to the DC world The Flash, starring Ezra Miller and Michael Keaton, was the main reason for his hiring. The It director not only directed a DC movie that has gained positive reviews all around. He directed multiple Batman actors as seen in promos for The Flash with Michael Keaton returning as Batman alongside Ben Affleck’s version.
