Hollywood’s actor strike has officially come to a close, which means all SAG-AFTRA actors can now resume work on productions such as Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram shortly after the strike ended to confirm two things about the upcoming sequel – its official release window, and a long-rumoured variant.
Deadpool 3 Release Window Update
In Ryan Reynolds’ new social post, the actor confirms that Deadpool 3 will be released in the Summer of 2024, but a specific date was not provided.
It’s potential that the movie still aims to release on May 3, its most recent scheduled slot, however, due to the strike pausing production, it’s also potential that the movie may be delayed further into the summer of 24.

Dogpool Confirmed For Deadpool 3
“Dogpool”, a literal dog variant of Deadpool, has been confirmed to appear in the third Deadpool movie by Reynolds himself in the same social media post mentioned above. See below.
Similar to the animated variants seen in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse such as Pter Ptarker and Spider-Cat, the creation of animal superhero variants was established long before Deadpool 3 – dating back to the original comics!
Deadpool 3 releases in theatres next summer.
