YouTube sensation MrBeast best known as Jimmy Donaldson took to TikTok Monday, May 29 to share the news that he had been arrested. “Here’s what happened. I was giving away money, doing my thing, and I made a joke and said ‘Hey! Take as much money as you want, I have a money printer at my house.’ and the Government didn’t like that, they thought I was printing money. It was a joke.” is what MrBeast said to his audience during the 17-second TikTok video.
However, this was in fact a joke as the arrest was all part of a recent prank pulled by Eric Decker best known as Airrack who managed to trick MrBeast into believing he had been arrested. The short TikTok video was made just less than a week after Airrack’s YouTube prank video was posted online and it now looks like MrBeast is having a bit of fun at his own expense to see if he can trick those who have yet to watch Airrack’s video. Despite the many adoring fans who instantly knew the facts, there were a few who were fooled by MrBeast’s innocent troll.
Why Was MrBeast Arrested?
This all started when YouTuber Tyler Blanchard pulled a prank on his buddy Airrack around one year ago set up by none other than MrBeast himself. The prank consisted of Blanchard pretending to quit Airrack’s team of creators to go start creating content with MrBeast instead which was a tad less extreme than the latest prank between the two popular creators.
Around one year later, Airrack reveals that he got MrBeast back by faking a full arrest of MrBeast from the arrest to being locked up in a holding cell with no food or water. As of writing MrBeast currently has 156 million subscribers on his main YouTube channel and Airrack has 13.2 million with the two creators being amongst some of the most popular creators on the platform.
