Disney has reportedly found its Nani for the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong (NCIS, West Michigan), now with the full Pelekai family including Stitch being cast and ready to bring the animated classic to the big screen once again.
This news comes not long after the announcement that Disney had cast Maia Kealoha as the live-action Lilo for the remake, alongside Zach Galifianakis, and Billy Magnussen, with Chris Sanders set to voice Stitch just as he did in the original movies.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, stating that Disney had not offered a comment on the casting information, however, an official announcement/ confirmation is expected to be made soon.
Nani is the older sister to the titular character Lilo, a protective character in the original animated adaptations, who also ends up befriending the alien known as Stitch.
Agudong has appeared in various projects such as the On My Block series, Infamously In Love, and Turning The Tide, with four upcoming projects currently listed on her official IMDB page, and now the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie making a fifth.
The live-action remake of Disney’s Lilo & Stitch is set to come out sometime in 2024.
