The premiere of Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is less than a week away! The hype for this movie continues to dominate the entertainment industry as it has done throughout 2022 so far. Disney confirmed the 4 most important titles fans needed to watch before this multiversal adventure, which were Doctor Strange, WandaVision, What If…? and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
This will introduce the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) to universes we have never seen before, with some that may seem quite familiar, and will probably continue the stories of timelines we’ve explored before. A theory from a fan in our Discord Server has confirmed the acknowledgement of Wanda being a Nexus Being in the MCU, and will definitely give you some food for thought.
Why Are The Doctor Strange Variants So Alike In Appearance?
Before going on to this topic, we’ll need to understand the concept of Nexus Beings. In the comics, Nexus Beings were those who belonged equally to all possible timelines, meaning that they would be the one constant thing in the chaos of the multiverse.
“The Scarlet Witch is a Nexus Being, one who belongs equally to all possible timelines.”

What this essentially means is that Wanda has the same features in every universe.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, we saw that the 3 Spider-Men looked vastly different from each other and had different experiences in life.
However, in Doctor Strange 2, all of Strange’s variants are portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch himself, with a few differences. One can simply brush this off as a case of making things simple, or as Deadpool (who is rumored to be in this movie) would say it, bad writing.
But once you dig deeper, you’ll realize that this would imply that Strange is much closer to being a Nexus Being than Spider-Man.
Notice how Wanda herself looks exactly the same in every universe, proving that she, is a true Nexus Being.
