Minor spoilers for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny inside.
The fifth Indiana Jones movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is set to hit theatres in less than a month as of writing this article. Questions on a lot of die-hard Indy fans’ minds include the idea of past characters making a return to the franchise such as Karen Allen’s Marion aka Indiana Jones’ Wife.
Although the official IMDB page for the movie doesn’t include Allen as a cast member. That doesn’t mean that she and others can’t make a surprise appearance. Large movies often exclude certain cast members from sites such as IMDB to save surprises for fans or sometimes just simply due to the fact that the casting has not been officially announced.
Is Marion In Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?
Does Karen Allen return as Marion in the next Indiana Jones movie Dial of Destiny?
Yes. Karen Allen is officially reprising her role as Marion for the third time in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny as confirmed by the movie’s press kit. The character Marion Ravenwood is known as being the main love interest of Harison Ford’s Indiana Jones. They both tied the knot by getting married during the final moments of the previous instalment Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Allen’s Marion is also the mother of Shia LaBeouf’s Henry “Mutt” Williams who also appeared in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. However, it seems that LaBeouf will not be making a return this time round even by the press kit’s new information. LaBeouf’s “Mutt” Williams is also Indiana Jones’ son so a brief mention of the character is at least expected regardless.
Marion’s Surname Missing From Cast Info
Will Marion and Indiana Jones still be married to each other in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?
Allen’s Marion is only listed as “Marion” on the official press kit for Dial of Destiny. Marion has been listed as just Marion in past instalments. It should be safe to assume that both Marion and Indiana Jones are still happily married. However, it’s a possibility the two separated ways due to maybe Indiana Jones not hanging up his hat for good. Only time will tell.
We expect Allen’s involvement in the next instalment to be short due to her presence being non-existent across the various trailers and promos released so far. We also wouldn’t be surprised if a TV spot or extended promo reveals the first footage of Allen’s Marion prior to the release of Dial of Destiny.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny comes to theatres on June 30, 2023.
