New behind-the-scenes images of Donald Glover‘s live-action Prowler scene from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have been revealed by Trayce Gigi Field.
Field worked as a costume designer alongside directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord to bring the live-action suit to life for the mostly animated Spider-Verse movie.
Glover’s Prowler aka Aaron Davis is the uncle of the movie’s main protagonist Miles Morales. His adaptation of the character is, of course, not from the same universe as Shameik Moore’s main animated Miles Morales.

The last time fans got to see Glover’s live-action take on the character was in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
New Live-Action Prowler Images Revealed
Field was nice enough to share some better looks at the live-action Prowler suit just as seen in the image above. The same suit Glover wears in the movie itself.
The amount of effort and detail that went into such a short cameo proves how brilliant and talented the teams behind these projects are.
It also raises questions as to why would this have become a reality if not to tease that Glover’s Prowler may be seen again. After all, this isn’t the first time Glover’s Aaron Davis / Prowler has been seen in the overall Spider-Man Universe.
Prowler’s iconic suit and claw-like glove are showcased heavily in this image above. Something we don’t even get to see him use in the movie.
Not that they go unappreciated in the slightest as this moment shifts the Sony Spider-Man Universe with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in ways only imagined in the past.
Behold Glover in full Prowler form behind-the-scenes in preparation to film his live-action cameo for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
The image above may be new but a similar image from this moment in time was also posted to the web by the team not too long ago. This is just a different angle.
However, as mentioned before, the quality of detail and effort put into the suit itself is impressive, to say the least. Especially when you consider the time they had to do it.
Another similar to a recently shared image can be seen above.
This is Glover literally filming his live-action cameo for the movie as he sits crossed-legged on top of a green box placed in front of a green background.

In this what seems to be a makeshift setting, Glover’s scene went from sitting on a green-covered box to making audiences scream with joy worldwide.
Will Donald Glover Be In Beyond The Spider-Verse?
Just like the rest of the upcoming third Spider-Verse instalment’s plot. It’s currently unclear if Glover’s live-action Prowler is set to return for the threequel.
What Across the Spider-Verse proves is that anything is possible from this point onwards. Glover’s Prowler may even fight alongside his nephew – or at least an animated variant from a universe where his version of Prowler is no more.
Another factor to consider is that Glover’s Prowler could perhaps be the main Aaron Davis in the recently announced live-action Miles Morales movie at Sony.
Glover is clearly interested in portraying the character. So it’s also safe to assume that, if offered, he will be happy to return to the Tom Holland Spider-Man Universe for the MCU.
Holland has been vocal many times throughout his Spidey career that he would love to stand side by side with an MCU Miles Morales one day. The fact that Morales’ literal uncle was officially introduced in the MCU only fuels this notion.
Wherever Glover’s Prowler appears next, know one thing, this won’t be the last time we see his adaptation of the character on screen if Sony and Marvel Studios have anything to say about it – the possibilities are now endless.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now playing in theatres.
