I’ve spent several hours playing this game, doing everything from playing around to completing missions. I can say without a doubt that it does not disappoint; it has everything a player could possibly want in a story-driven game.
Story
The story in this game is fairly interesting, and there is a good amount of variety in the side missions, allowing the game to remain interesting even when you stray off the main path. The two large maps also give you a lot of freedom, and the game’s plot and ending give you something to look forward to. The story keeps you interested, and everything makes sense, making it both compelling and believable, allowing for a good immersion.
Gameplay
I have encountered bugs, some of which forced me to restart the game since they prevented me from moving forward in the story but given how much fun I had playing and how rarely they occurred, I didn’t even find them to be a problem.
Performance
I played this game on a computer with good specs, and it ran incredibly smoothly and without any noticeable performance issues at the highest settings. I occasionally struggled to maintain a constant framerate, but nothing that prevented me from enjoying the gameplay.
Summary
This game in my eyes is a solid four out of five stars. Worth the price and the experience so if you haven’t tried it definitely something to keep in your back pocket as a potential experience.
Dying Light is now available to purchase on Linux, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
