Moss-Bachrach was rumoured last month to be playing the next live-action Ben Grimm aka the Thing for Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot in 2025.
Inside scooper, Jeff Sneider seemingly debunked these claims during the latest episode of The Hot Mic with Jeff Sneider and John Rocha.
According to Sneider, Moss-Bachrach has not been cast as the iconic Marvel character famous for being one-quarter of the Fantastic Four team.
However, he also reported that despite the recent casting rumours being inaccurate, Moss-Bachrach still indeed has a role in the movie.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Fantastic Four Casting
See below for what Sneider had to say.
During his latest episode of The Hot Mic alongside John Rocha, Sneider reportedly revealed that Moss-Bachrach will indeed be in the Fantastic Four movie.
His new details claim that the Punisher actor will enter the movie closer to the ending, which if true, adds fuel to the claim that he will not be starring as the Thing.
Unless Marvel Studios plan on sidelining Thing for the entirety of the upcoming reboot, it’s fair to assume that Moss-Bachrach will star as somebody else.
Although Sneider confirmed that his sources have yet to reveal to him who Moss-Bachrach has been cast as he did share his best guess as to who it will be.
Moss-Bachrach Will “Likely” Be Silver Surfer
Sneider took to theorise that Moss-Bachrach will most “likely” be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as none other than the iconic character, the Silver Surfer.
This guess stems from the fact that Sneider’s reportedly accurate Fantastic Four details state that Moss-Bachrach will only be appearing near the end of the movie.
Along with details that Galactus will also reportedly be the main villain of the movie, another new tip was also shared by Sneider during the same Hot Mic episode.
Note that none of this information has been officially announced by the cast and crew of Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four movie, so stay tuned for updates.
Fantastic Four is scheduled to release on February 14, 2025.
