Ricky Gervais has officially announced a new world tour as well as his next Netflix special.
The Armageddon comedian's next comedy set will be called ‘Mortality', coming after past titles such as ‘Humanity' and ‘SuperNature'.
It's fair to expect the tone of his next show will be as dark as ever, with a hint of controversy.
As per LADBible, Gervais teased what to expect from his upcoming set.
“We're all gonna die,” the comedian said.
“May as well have a laugh about it,” he added.
“Mortality looks at the absurdities of life. And death. Bring it on.”
Gervais is now currently working on a series of ‘work in progress' shows, in which he will be performing some of his new material over the next month or so.
Similar to his latest sets, his new special will be filmed and released on Netflix.
His latest was the controversial ‘Armageddon' show, which he won a Golden Globe for all while leaving some fairly triggered by his set's material.
It also landed itself at the #1 spot on Netflix's most-watched list, as well as holding the world record for the highest-grossing comedy special of all time.
However, he's not quitting just yet, and he's probably coming back with a vengeance.
Gervais' upcoming warm-up gigs are already set to begin selling tickets tomorrow, June 28, at 10 am.
The warm-up dates are as follows:
Cambridge, Corn Exchange – Monday 1 July 2024, 7pm
