Gen V season 2 already has a team of writers “rearing to go” as confirmed by writer and producer Eric Kripke in a recent interview with The Wrap, the man behind fan favourite shows Supernatural and Gen V’s parent series The Boys.
Although a second season is in the hopes of Kripke and his team, the first season is still currently releasing new weekly episodes on Prime Video and a Gen V season 2 has yet to be officially announced.

It’s likely that the studio will wait until the first season has finished releasing its total of 8 episodes before making any announcements, however, judging by the general fan response, it’s safe to assume that it’s likely.
Is Gen V Season 2 Happening?
While talking to The Wrap, Kripke said “We need to see how the show performs, and we need to see if people are watching it, and if Amazon’s happy,” confirming that he hasn’t exclusively been told if a second season is getting the green light.

Kripke also confirmed that the writers’ room for a Gen V season 2 has already been set up, as he said “there is a second season writers room for Gen V. Yes.”
He added a hopeful note “I mean, look, the fact that Amazon has paid for Michele to have a second season [writers] room is a good sign, so, you know, fingers crossed.”
Gen V season one is currently streaming on Prime Video with new episodes dropping weekly.
