The majority of the dinos in this list may seem quite familiar to you but there are a fair few that only true dinosaur fans will recognize. If you are a dinosaur expert or even just a fan of the popular dinosaur survival game, Ark, then you will love the new additions to the Jurassic Park/ World franchise.
1. Parasaurolophus (AKA Parasaur)
The Parasaurs are back!
The Parasaurolophus returning to the franchise is no surprise, this dino is a common face to all dinosaur flicks.
2. Apatosaurus
The Apatosaurus probably reminds you of a Brontosaurus, the main difference between the two would be the Apatosaurus‘s build and neck size.
3. Velociraptor… BABY BLUE!
Blue the Velociraptor is back and she brought her kid to work this time!
That’s right! Blue has had a little baby Velociraptor, no sign of the father but we will probably get to see one during the flick at one point, RIGHT? Nevertheless, that baby Velociraptor is the cutest thing to come out of 2022 YET!
4. The Giant Mosasaurus Eating Away As Usual!
Yep, the Mosasaurus is back again and working away as usual by snacking away.
No surprise here with this one, if the last two Jurassic World movies have taught us anything. It is to expect about five minutes of screen time from the not-so-friendly Mosasaurus.
5. Tyrannosaurus Rex – Jurassic World Dominion
Jurassic Park and Jurassic World wouldn’t be the same without the famous Tyrannosaurus Rex!
Side note: I actually have had a theory, for a while now, that Chris Pratt’s character will ride the Tyrannosaurus Rex at some point during the franchise. Can you see that happening?
6. / 7. Carnotaurus & Allosaurus
Two of the most moodiest and aggressive carnivores on this list, we present to you the Carnotaurus & Allosaurus!
There is no doubt in my mind that these two are probably fighting during this scene. They either will be too busy fighting to even care about Chris Pratt OR they will both race towards him to see who can eat him first!
8. Therizinosaurus – Jurassic World Dominion
Now, this just feels like I’m playing Ark all over again…
I have to admit, I was hyped when the Therizinosaurus was teased during the trailer. I have a soft spot for this dino just simply due to the fact that I spent far too many hours playing Ark: Survival Evolved!
9. Atrociraptor – Jurassic World Dominion
The Atrociraptor was actually revealed last year when they released an official still of it.
Nonetheless, it was so awesome seeing it in full form in live action!
10. Quetzalcoatlus – Jurassic World Dominion
The Quetzalcoatlus doing its thing!
This is another dinosaur that Ark players should recognize! Dinosaur lovers most likely jumped out of their seats during this part of the trailer, I know I did!
11. Nasutoceratops – Jurassic World Dominion
The Nasutoceratops, which look closely similar to a Triceratops, can be seen racing around a jeep.
This dinosaur has been a common face in the Jurassic franchise, including the Jurassic World: Evolution game.
12. Jurassic World Dominion’s Dilophosaurus
WOAH! The Dilophosaurus has returned to the saga and just look how amazing it looks!
13. The BIG Reveal… Gigantosaurus!
WHAT?! The Gigantosaurus is actually in Jurassic World, WHAT?!!
I had a hunch when I first watched but I later had it confirmed to me that this is indeed a Gigantosaurus. Fun fact, the Gigantosaurus isn’t too much larger than a T-Rex and both the Gigantosaurus and T-Rex are smaller than a Spinosaurus.
Anyway, that’s the whole list, hope you enjoyed the read, and remember to share the news! See you at the next one.
