PlayStation’s September 2023 State of Play Showcase has been held, featuring plenty of new reveals for upcoming indie and third-party games coming to both consoles and the PlayStation VR2 headset.

Crossplay Roblox Coming To PlayStation 4
During the showcase, it was revealed that Roblox is coming to PlayStation 4 with crossplay on October 10, 2023.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord
The first look at the upcoming PSVR2 Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord game was revealed during Sony’s September State of Play Showcase.
Players will be able to customize their ghost buster with various kinds of cosmetics, just be careful not to cross your streams!
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord launches Oct. 26th, 2023.
Baby Steps Gameplay Reveal
Gameplay from the upcoming Baby Steps game was revealed, a game where you play as Nate, a character described as an “unemployed failson with nothing going for him, until one day he discovers a power he never knew he had… putting one foot in front of the other.”
From the minds behind Ape Out and Getting Over It, players will be able to hike mountains by literally “placing each footstep yourself, in original physics-based gamplay”.
PS5’s Deep Earth Collection Console Covers
Blue, Silver, and Red PlayStation 5 console covers will officially be releasing as part of the “Deep Earth Collection”, as revealed during the September State of Play.
Helldivers 2 Launching February 8
Helldivers II is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and PC on February 8th, 2024.
The team-based shooter’s release date was revealed during Sony’s September State of Play Showcase, along with a new gameplay trailer.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Footage
The official story trailer for the highly anticipated Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game debuted during Sony’s September State of Play Showcase.
Coming to PlayStation 5 on December 7th, 2023.
Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC
Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 remake is officially getting some additional DLC content entitled “Separate Ways”, coming to the game on September 21.
Players will get to control and play as Ada Wong, set during the events of Resident Evil 4, a character who appeared multiple times in the main game.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Launching February
The latest trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and release date was revealed during the September State of Play premiere.
The game launches on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Plenty of new updates and reveals for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 were provided during Sony’s September State of Play showcase demo.
One being a new look at the map from the game, with reaffirmation that it will be twice the size of the map from the first game.
Another detail from the game was that there will be over 65 Spidey suits from original Spider-Man comics, movies, and original Spidey suit designers.
Resident Evil 4 Remake: The Mercenaries
Resident Evil 4’s remake will also be getting its first post-launch and free update entitled “The Mercenaries” on September 21, 2023.
That’s pretty much it, the showcase lasted for around 20 minutes and these are the biggest reveals, if not all reveals, showcased during the PlayStation September State of Play.
