30 Days of Night and Black Mirror star Josh Hartnett was reportedly offered the role of Marvel Studios’ Victor Von Doom aka Doctor Doom prior to the ongoing strikes.
Although this has not been officially announced or confirmed, news of Hartnett’s offer was shared by a credible inside tipster known as John Rocha who hosts popular videos on YouTube talking about all things Hollywood.
Hartnett recently starred in projects such as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer as Ernest Lawrence and Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror season 6. His performances in both roles were absolutely brilliant, as well as many of his past performances.
Which MCU Movie Was Hartnett Offered?
Doctor Doom is also highly expected to appear in future projects such as Avengers: Secret Wars and is definitely a highly sought-after role in the industry, meaning many actors that fit the description will be attempting to land the job.
Various names and rumours have flooded the internet these past couple of years, more prominently as of late due to the casting process picking up speed – at least it was prior to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
As of writing, no SAG actor will be in any talks with these studios, meaning that casting announcements for roles such as Doctor Doom won’t be happening soon.
For now, it’s best to take any news with a pinch of salt amidst the strikes and just wait for more official confirmation from the cast and crew of said projects.
