Galactus has been reportedly revealed as the main villain for Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four movie, along with new casting details being shared.
Jeff Sneider shared multiple inside tips from the upcoming MCU movie during his latest episode of The Hot Mic with Jeff Sneider and John Rocha.
One major inside scoop is that Galactus will be the main big baddie in the Fantastic Four movie, making his MCU debut in 2025, only two years away.
Despite this not yet being confirmed by the cast and crew of the Marvel Studios title, Sneider seemed fairly confident that Galactus will indeed be the next big baddie.
MCU Galactus Casting Details Revealed?
While talking with John Rocha on their scoop-filled series The Hot Mic, Sneider claimed via his sources that Marvel Studios has reportedly cast a “Latino actor” to star as the big sinister devourer of worlds famously known as Galactus.
This information came amidst rumours that legendary actor Antonio Banderas was offered to play the live-action Galactus, meaning if true, he may have said yes.
On top of the Galactus casting news, Sneider also revealed that Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) has been cast and is most “likely playing Silver Surfer”.
However, any talks and development on the Marvel Studios title that sparked these new details would have all happened prior to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
Something that Sneider himself commented on during the latest Hot Mic episode, confirming this to be the case, with all information coming pre-strike.
Galactus Potentially Avengers’ Next Major Villain
If Galactus is indeed planned to make his official live-action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2025, this would most likely be a set-up for Secret Wars.
Galactus is a major player during the events of the original Secret Wars comic storyline, and a major player in Marvel’s lore, making this inside tip likely.
Despite the world-consuming giant being tipped to be the actual main villain of Fantastic Four, it’s also safe to expect he would return during the events of the next two Avengers movies, Secret Wars being the safest bet.
