Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, also known simply as the Duffer brothers, are working hard to prepare everything for the fifth season of Stranger Things for Netflix. There have been some updates here and there, however, a new update from Finn Wolfhard could possibly hint at either a late 2024 release or 2025 as expected.
The fourth season of Stranger Things became available to stream on Netflix in May 2022, sending the world into a fan frenzy for months which isn’t surprising due to the series being one of the most popular ever to be produced by the giant streaming company.
In a recent interview with GQ on their popular YouTube series ‘Actually Me‘, where they make social media accounts for their guests to reply to comments online, Finn Wolfhard provided a somewhat update for season 5.
Finn Wolfhard Confirms How Old He Will Be
While replying to a Stranger Things fan who wrote “I can’t believe S5 will be the final season – what’s your favorite bts Stranger Things memory? I hope you all stay friends”, Wolfhard talked a bit about the next installment of the series.
“Yeah, I hope we all stay friends too. I don’t think there’s anyway for us not to stay friends because we’re kind of bonded… forever, I would say. I can’t really believe that it’s the fifth season either.”

Finn Wolfhard continued on to add “by the time it comes out I will be 22, I think”, which is interesting as Finn Wolfhard will be turning 22 years of age in the later weeks of December 2024.

When Should We Expect Stranger Things Season 5?
It is highly unlikely that the fifth season will be dropping within the limited days that Wolfhard has in 2024 as a 22-year-old, the safest assumption is that the fifth installment is aiming to release sometime in 2025. The Duffer brothers provided an update recently that the development for the fifth season is going well, plus, Netflix won’t be wasting any time as Stranger Things is by far one of their most successful shows ever made on the platform.
Stranger Things Season 5 should be currently expected to release on Netflix sometime in 2025.
