New set images from Daredevil: Born Again have emerged online, seemingly revealing an actor portraying the role of a young Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, with the adult counterpart being iconically played by Vincent D’Onofrio.
This wouldn’t be the first time that fans have gotten to see a glimpse into the past of D’Onofrio’s adaptation of the Marvel villain Kingpin, with flashback scenes also being featured in the Netflix-Marvel run of Daredevil.
Young Wilson Fisk Set Images
The images were posted online, thanks to a Twitter user known as @jadames1775, who even got to take a couple of pictures with the young actor.
Jadames1775’s post, which includes the new images, is captioned with “first look at flashback episode behind the scene with young wilson fisk and neighboorhood bullies, harlem nyc, the cast showing us mad love”, which seemingly reveals that new flashback scenes are currently being filmed, with a young Wilson Fisk being the main focus.
The first image shows a young actor in dirtied-up jeans, located in New York’s Harlem, where Daredevil: Born Again was already confirmed to be filming this week under the fictional location of Hell’s Kitchen.
The second image was taken only moments before, or after, the first image, which doesn’t provide any additional visual details for the new MCU actor.
These additional images show a second actor also filming for the flashback scenes, with the original poster of the images not stating which actor is playing the “Young Wilson Fisk”.
This leaves plenty of room for fans to speculate as to who Fisk is, and who the supposable bully is, as it may be safe to assume either actor could potentially be the bully.
Flashback Scene Details For ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
It was only revealed just yesterday that flashback sets were being built in Harlem for Daredevil: Born Again, however, it seems that the cast and crew may be filming two flashback dates in the same location.
An image posted online from the Harlem set yesterday provided details of a newspaper prop from the set of Daredevil: Born Again, dated back to 1999, which wouldn’t work with D’Onofrio’s timeline.
The new “Young Wilson Fisk” images will surely be set sometime in the 1970s, which is somewhat canonical to D’Onofrio’s adaptation, with 1999 being more of a “Young Matt Murdock” timeframe.
It’s possible that the location is being used to film shots for two different flashback scenes, which is a nice and easy way to get the shots you need without having to return to the same location more than once.
Daredevil: Born Again is set to release in 2024 exclusively to Disney Plus.
