The first look at Sony’s upcoming animated Miles Morales-led short film The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story has been revealed.
This follows the recent success of the Into the Spider-Verse sequel’s theatrical release Across the Spider-Verse which is being praised as one of the best Spider-Man movies ever made.
Now, in this new short film, the Spider-Verse franchise’s main protagonist Miles Morales will be shown to be suffering from quite severe anxiety as he undergoes an anxiety attack due to being overwhelmed by school work, exams, and relationships.

His inner anxiety is represented in the form of an alter ego manifested as a dark figure, also including an imaginary infestation of spiders in his bedroom.

The short ends will include Miles Morales’ father Jefferson Morales as the film is set to show the importance of healthy strong father and son relationships.
