David Stakston is set to return as Magne aka Thor, and Jonas Strand Gravli as Laurits aka Loki, with more returning cast members set to star alongside them.
Herman Tømmeraas will be reprising the role of Fjor alongside Theresa Frostad Eggesbø‘s Saxa who may just be having a bit of a romance-esque storyline with Stakston’s Magne this time around.
“The protagonist Magne must attempt to fight this enemy, but how do you keep your cool and make the right choices when you’re a teenager in love, suddenly armed with the world’s mightiest weapon, while at the same time having to figure out who you are?
Magne has to weigh every step on his journey from child to adult. As well as navigate the many relations he has finally managed to forge in the small town. But who is — when it all comes down to it — his friend? And who is his enemy?”

Magne aka Thor and Wotan aka Odin (kind of) both walk through the beautiful streets of the fictional town of Edda in the image above.
The real location itself is actually called Odda, similar to the fictional counterpart. Despite the town’s name being replaced by the series, the location was never kept secret during production.
Giants Fjor and Ran played by Herman Tømmeraas and Synnøve Macody Lund both kneel down to Magne and his trusty hammer, Mjölnir.
It’s unclear why their kneeling down, of course, Magne aka Thor is a force not to be reckoned with when wielding his mighty weapon. The family of Giants will most likely still be getting to grips with the loss of Vidar.
Fan favourite Laurits played by Jonas Strand Gravli shines as the modern Loki in this image above. Laurits seems to be as confident as ever in this new season, should we be worried? Yes, probably.
Season 2 Spoilers: Laurits released the World Serpent aka Jörmungandr during the finale of season 2, something that traditionally sets the devasting event known as Ragnarök into motion.
Romance? One thing that Ragnarok doesn’t shy away from is the fact that the mighty Magne is still just a teenage in love most of the time.
Vebjørn Enger’s Jens stands by Laurits’ side in this new image above. What are they up to? Could Laurits be feeding his World Serpent snake?
Theresa Frostad Eggesbø’s Saxa still managing the family business alongside Tømmeraas’ Fjor as seen in the image above.
Danu Sunth’s Iman seems to be a little bit lonely in this image. However, it’s unclear as to why, maybe just getting a little break away from all the drama?
This. Means. War.
The Giants stand together in arms in this new first-look image above. It looks like they are preparing for a battle against Magne and his allies. Could they be facing something new altogether, perhaps? Who knows?!
The show’s group of protagonists march together in this image above. Following Magne, while all bearing a weapon, this doesn’t look too good for the Giants in the slightest.
The full cast includes David Stakston, Jonas Strand Gravli, Theresa Frostad Eggesbø, Herman Tømmeraas, Danu Sunth, Henriette Steenstrup, Synnøve Macody Lund, Odd-Magnus Williamsson, Bjørn Sundqvist, Vebjørn Enger, Billie Barker, Benjamin Helstad, Ruben Rosbach, Ida Nilsen, Jesper Malm, Fridtjov Såheim, Espen Sigurdsen and others.
Mogens Hagedorn who also directed some episodes for the first two seasons helms once again to direct the final season of Ragnarok.
Producing is Stine Meldgaard Madsen alongside exec-producers eta Louise Foldager Sørensen and Adam Price. Adam Price and Emilie Lebech Kaae are credited as both creators and writers.
Whether you’re a Norse Mythological enthusiast or just a fan of good television, Ragnarok is a safe bet as the final season is set to place both its protagonists and antagonists alike into a life-changing battle.
The final/ third season of Ragnarok releases on August 24 on Netflix.
