Star Wars’ New Series ‘Andor’ Receives Positive First Reaction

Star Wars returns to Disney+ in 4 days with the highly anticipated 3-episode premiere of Andor. The audience hype is at its peak, and the first reactions to this series have only pushed fan expectations even higher. The reactions are overwhelmingly positive, with praise for the distinctive look of the series, writing, production quality, acting, and much more. Yesterday, the social media embargo for the series lifted, enabling reviewers and press who screened the show early to share their thoughts and reactions with others online. This series follows Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) after his home world has been destroyed by the Galactic Empire; it takes place around five years before Rogue One and focuses on Andor joining the Rebellion and rising through the ranks till he turns into one of the Rebellion’s best soldiers.
Read to the end of this article to know the first reactions, release schedule, and release date for Andor.

First Reactions

“#Andor episodes 1-4 are terrific. This is the content Star Wars fans have been waiting for, it’s dark, gritty and beautifully shot throughout with the political side being mesmerising to me. If this is the direction the franchise is taking, then the future is very bright. Honestly, I am stunned by this series so far. Episodes 1-3 are the epitome of perfection with 4 setting up some rather interesting plots to come. I’m amazed by every aspect of this series; I can’t wait to see what’s to come. Andor makes me excited for Star Wars again!”

“I had the opportunity to watch the first four episodes of #Andor and this series is seriously SO GOOD! It’s dark, gritty and the story has got me hooked. It starts out slow but as we continue along the episodes, it gets better.”

@SweetnShy13 on Twitter

“A month or two ago I watched the first four episodes of #Andor and it’s awesome. Quality production design, lived in worlds, real looking locations, and characters that feel like real people. It’s the best of Disney Star Wars so far and much needed for the franchise!”

@rob_keyes on Twitter

“#Andor is very, VERY, good. The production quality and acting is off the charts. Feels like a “prestige” drama within the galaxy far, far away. Definitely the most “adult” Star Wars story so far, with more subtle world-building & slower burn story. It rules. Hard.”

@JordanMaison on Twitter

“I’ve watched 4 episodes of #Andor & I’m loving its more simple ground-level approach. It’s different from the other shows, less humor. Plays like a crime drama more than a space opera. I dug how it highlights low-level Empire leaders as it reveals a rebel alliance slowly forming.”
