Jason Blum took to Twitter yesterday to post yet another cryptic message captioned with “This week is going to be AMAZING”, with speculation now rising, yet again, that the first teaser trailer for Blumhouse’s live-action adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s maybe what is being referenced.
This news comes only a week after FNAF fans were left disappointed after Blumhouse’s CinemaCon 2023 panel, as the studio decided not to unveil the first trailer for the live-action adaptation of the classic video game, due to the title being set for both a theatrical and streaming release, where CinemaCon is an exclusive event solely for theatrical projects and cinema chain owners.
It should also be noted that the full movie’s synopsis was recently reportedly revealed, which also potentially confirmed that the marketing campaign for the live-action FNAF adaptation may be set to begin soon, further leading toward the speculation that the teaser may be released extremely soon, to kick off the official marketing and promotional campaign for the October 2023 release.
Update (May 6th, 2023): The trailer for the live-action Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has leaked early online, further fuelling speculation that the trailer will be dropping imminently.
However, Jason Blum’s latest tweet may just be the news that FNAF fans have been waiting for since the letdown at the 2023 CinemaCon, with it being safe to assume that Blum is teasing a real first look at the movie, and with the title only being around 6 months away from being released worldwide, the possibility of the first teaser trailer being released is relatively high.
