This comes only a day after the first official images from the set surfaced online which interestingly revealed some specific details such as when the first phase of filming will be set in.
Despite filming for Venom 3 currently being in June, the recent set images seemingly confirmed that the scenes being filmed were set in November due to the Day of the Dead festival being a prominent backdrop.
Putting at least a portion of Venom 3 in the same month as when Spider-Man: No Way Home was mostly set in, where Hardy’s Eddie Brock also appeared due to travelling to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Universe.
First Venom 3 Set Video Revealed
Watch the first Venom 3 set video below featuring Tom Hardy‘s Eddie Brock walking down a streetway in what seems to be very similar clothing.
Hardy’s clothing seen in the first Venom 3 set video seems identical to what Eddie Brock was wearing during his scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Venom 3 Set Video Confirms No Way Home Connection
Seemingly confirming that they are currently filming Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Venom travelling back to their universe post-Doctor Strange and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man fixing their multiverse spell issue.
This would most likely be the opening scene of the movie itself and may even include the two realising that a piece of the Venom symbiote was left behind in Holland’s Spider-Man Universe aka the MCU.
One thing’s for sure, Sony and Marvel Studios have been teasing a Tom Hardy-Venom crossover event with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man for an extremely long time now.
It’s safe to assume that Venom 3 will include some major reveals, further teasing, and potentially even a quick cameo from Tom Holland.
Sony’s Venom 3 is currently expected to release in October of 2024.
