Jason Blum took to Twitter today to post a rather cryptic tweet captioned “I’m feeling a Twitter rampage coming on”, with Five Nights at Freddy’s fans convinced that a new announcement for the Blumhouse live-action adaptation will be dropping imminently.
Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s has been the talk of the town as of late, especially in the horror fandom world alongside the dedicated fans of the FNAF games, with Blum’s new tweet potentially teasing that the first trailer may be dropping soon.
However, Blum’s new tweet neither confirms nor denies that a new Five Nights at Freddy’s movie announcement will be dropping soon, just that he speculates a “Twitter rampage” may be heading his way, or perhaps toward Blumhouse.
Jason Blum has not yet confirmed what his tweet was about as of writing this news article.
Blum’s tweet sparked an instant reaction from fans of the franchise, which you can see below for some examples of people scrambling to try and figure out what the cryptic tweet is in regard to, with the majority opinion being for the Five Nights at Freddy’s trailer.
One Twitter user, well one of many, shared hopes for the tweet being in relation to the first trailer release for the live-action flick.
Another Twitter user doesn’t even bother mentioning the movie’s title simply due to how popular the topic is at the moment, especially on Twitter, with a query for Blum on if the trailer will be dropping tomorrow.
Interestingly, however, some Blumhouse fans are speculating that if the tweet is indeed about a trailer, maybe it could be for another title such as Insidious 5, which is actually set to release a few months before Five Nights at Freddy’s as it is slated for a July 7th, 2023, release.
