A new update by Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that Frozen 3 and a subsequent sequel are in development.
Iger revealed the news while at Disney’s Hong Kong theme park, where he is present for the inauguration of “World of Frozen.”
This new feature allows visitors to not just encounter Olaf, Anna, and Elsa but also enjoy meals at restaurants and wander through streets that capture the enchanting essence of Arendelle.
Bob Iger revealed this bit of information in an interview with Disney-subsidiary Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan:
“Well, I’ll give you a little surprise there, Michael. ‘Frozen 3’ is in the works and there might be a ‘Frozen 4’ in the works too.”

“But I don’t have much to say about those films right now,” Iger continued. “But Jenn Lee, who created ‘Frozen,’ the original ‘Frozen’ and ‘Frozen II,’ is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories.”
The fact that the two stories are being worked on side by side implies that they will be two parts of a bigger story, much like the case with Into the Spider-Verse and Beyond the Spider-Verse.
“The best thing here is you visit and you actually can meet Olaf and Anna and Elsa and all the gang from ‘Frozen.’ Of course, there are attractions but there’s also great restaurants,” Iger said.
“I think the thing that is great about it is you actually feel like you’re in the place that the movie took place in and it just gives you this powerful sense of story that I think people have grown to love over the last decade.”
“For years at our Disney Parks, we’ve been creating these large immersive worlds. Essentially, they are the physical embodiment of some of the greatest stories that we’ve told… And of course, ‘Frozen’ being one of our most valuable franchises, I think it’s just right for building the place that ‘Frozen’ takes place in,” Iger said.
“It’s just a fantastic land that enables people to get immersed in the story of ‘Frozen’ and interact with all the great characters from the films.”

Sequels in the Frozen franchise were previously confirmed to be in development by Bob Iger in February this year, during Disney’s Q1 earnings call.
Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 do not yet have release dates, stay tuned for updates.
