Spoilers for the “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special”, which is coming to Disney Plus on the 25th of November, are now making their way to the internet. So be warned, you may know the majority of the episode before it is even released if you scour the internet long enough.
Details have emerged online regarding the plot of the special plus details on some pretty major revelations that could change the impact of the MCU’s Guardians franchise forever. Surprisingly though, the latest reveal actually comes from Disney Plus via their Marvel Legends series, days ahead of the special’s release.
Guardians of the Galaxy Major Reveal
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY SPOILERS BELOW.
In Mantis’ episode from DIsney Plus’ “Marvel Legends”, a deleted scene from the second Guardians of the Galaxy film is revealed. Spoiling what could have been saved for the holiday special coming in less than half a week.
The big reveal is that Mantis is actually Star-Lord‘s half-sister, revealing that she is also the daughter of his father Ego. In the deleted scene, Mantis reveals to Drax that she has known this whole time but refuses to tell Star-Lord in fear he will resent her due to Ego killing his mother.
Although this has been revealed to the audience already, it has still yet to be revealed to Star-Lord himself.
