Harrison Ford recently spoke up about his upcoming MCU debut, as he will be taking on the role as General Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: New World Order. This will be the fourth installment plus Anthony Mackie’s first full feature length movie as the titular character, following the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The torch of playing the MCU’s Captain America was passed from Chris Evans to Anthony Mackie during the events of Avengers: Endgame, similarily to how Harrison Ford will be taking on his role from the late William Hurt. However, there has been little information on Harrison Ford’s involvement so far, with speculation increasing online that Ford will finally see the character turn into the Red Hulk, just like in the Marvel Comics adaptations.

Harrison Ford Talks Thunderbolt Ross
In a recent interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Harrison Ford was asked if he was allowed to discuss anything in regard to his new role as Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU. Stephen Colbert asked Ford if he “was allowed” to reveal anything about the 2024 MCU movie Captain America: New World Order, to which he responded with quite the surprising answer.
“I’m allowed to tell you everything I know.”

This, of course, is just the typical comedic response from Harrison Ford, who is famously known for deflecting questions that dive into the spoiler zone of his projects. Colbert is seen stumped with Ford’s response at first, but happily plays along and continues to question him on the phase 5 movie.
Where Does Captain America 4 Take Place?
When asked on where the fourth Captain America installment takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ford responded simply with “I don’t know”, right before reminding Colbert to only ask questions that he does know the answers to.
He then teases the fact that he doesn’t know anything at all about the movie, but then continues to conversation nonetheless, see below what he had to say.
“Ask me something I know, cus I don’t know anything.”

Despite the supposable confession that he doesn’t know anything about the sequel, he later admits that he does know some details about the movie, at least details regarding his character anyway.

What’s His First Scene In The MCU?
Stephen Colbert decides to test more questioning on Ford’s MCU involvement, ignoring the fact that Harrison admitted to knowing nothing, as the conversation appears to just be a comedic interview at this point.
When Ford is asked which scene he appears in first, he responds with “I can’t tell you”, admitting it is due to the fact that he knows a little bit more about the project than he was letting on earlier in the interview.
“I can’t tell you – because I know – I do know that, but I can’t tell you.”.

Which Colbert responds with “so, you can tell me anything you want, as long as it something you don’t know”, which Ford laughingly and simply replies with “yeah”.
Ford Meets Captain America In A Disco?
Ending the conversation about Captain America: New World Order, Colbert makes one final attempt to dig for details by asking Ford “where do you and Captain America meet for the first scene?”.
This sparks either a comedic lie from Harrison Ford or maybe even the truth, which sadly we will never know until the movie comes out in 2024.
“Umm, at – at a disco”
