Taron Egerton (Rocketman, Kingsman: The Golden Circle) and Ariana Grande are reportedly being eyed to star in Disney’s live-action remake of Hercules.
Directing the upcoming live-action remake is Guy Ritchie, known for past projects such as Sherlock Holmes, Snatch, The Gentlemen, and many more beloved titles.

Ritchie also helmed the live-action Alladin remake, which starred Will Smith and Mena Massoud. The box office results alone explain why Ritchie has been hired to return to bring another animated classic to the live-action realm of Hollywood.
Live-Action Hercules Movie Casting Report
According to a new report shared by industry tipster Daniel RPK, Egerton is being eyed to star as none other than the live-action demigod, Hercules himself.
Grande is reportedly eyed to star as the romantic interest and prominent character from the 1997 classic, Megara, who had red hair similar to Grande in Victorious. If these reported details are true, fans of Grande’s earlier work with Nickelodeon may get to see her red hairstyle make a comeback.

However, due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, conversations and development on titles such as Hercules won’t be moving forward much until the strikes find a reasonable resolution. Until then, it’s unlikely that anticipated fans will be provided with any concrete details.
Giant Freakin Robot also shared that Egerton was being eyed to star as the lead in Guy Ritchie’s Hercules movie for Disney, adding more fuel to the reported detail.
Disney’s live-action Hercules movie has yet to be scheduled for release.
