This time-travelling movie, known for its iconic tagline, “There can be only one,” gave rise to four sequels and three television series, including the well-received USA series led by Adrian Paul. It’s worth noting that Queen delivered a memorable soundtrack for the original film.
Stahelski recently shared that the reboot will serve as a prequel, setting the stage for the gathering and paving the way for future franchise plans. When discussing the movie’s storyline, Stahelski mentioned they have a wealth of ideas to create captivating characters and turn it into an exciting TV series.
He emphasized that the Highlander mythology is incredibly rich.
The reboot is being produced by Joshua Davis, Neal H. Moritz, known for his work on the Fast And The Furious franchise, Chad Stahelski through his 87Eleven Entertainment production company, and Louise Rosner.
