Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds will finally be teaming up as their mutant counterparts, Wolverine and Deadpool, in the 2024 MCU movie Deadpool 3.
However, despite the film’s release being almost two years away, that hasn’t stopped everyone from craving any details that can be provided about the sequel.
Although there has been plenty of rumours since the announcement that the film had been greenlit, Hugh Jackman may have just accidentally confirmed one specific rumour in a recent tweet.
Deadpool 3: Wolverine & Deadpool
In a recent video tweet from the Australian actor, Hugh Jackman, he uses the platform to hilariously express his opinion on Ryan Reynold’s possible nomination for his latest musical-comedy ‘Spirited’.
However, during Jackman’s video, there is a moment where he briefly references the fact that he will be filming the third Deadpool with Ryan Reynolds this year – but possibly reveals the title of the film itself.
“I have to spend the next year with him, shooting ‘Wolverine and Deadpool’…”

While Jackman discusses Deadpool 3‘, he calls the movie “Wolverine and Deadpool”, possibly confirming recent reports that the title would be something along those lines.
Wolverine Before Deadpool?
So, if this is true, and assuming that this would be the full title of the third instalment, does this mean that Deadpool’s first MCU movie will have Wolverine’s name at the beginning of the movie title itself?
Hopefully, this is true, because knowing Deadpool’s extremely funny fourth-wall-breaking humour, this is surely something the character would bring up to the audience at some point in the film – right?
Unless the film will be titled ‘Deadpool 3: Wolverine and Deadpool’, which would mean that Deadpool’s name will both start and finish the whole title, with two Deadpool references.
This would also be hilarious if mentioned in the film, as Deadpool could use this as bragging rights to Wolverine if they are willing to go that meta of course.

This is technically another very minor spoiler from the actor as he also teased time travel and timeline hopping will be a part of the film’s plot not too long ago too.
Is this all part of his genius plan of keeping us all as hyped as possible before the release, which is unlikely considering the release is so far away or is Jackman may be so excited about the film – he just slips up?
Deadpool 3 Release Date
Deadpool 3 is currently set to release on the 8th of November in 2024, which is speculated to be exclusively released in cinemas first before heading to streaming.
