New set images and videos from Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3 show Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds going toe to toe as Deadpool and Wolverine for the first time since X-Men Origins: Wolverine… but this time in fully comic-accurate suits!
Jackman’s Wolverine will officially be wearing the yellow and blue comic-accurate X-Men suit in Deadpool 3 as confirmed by the stars yesterday July 10.

It’s currently unclear if the Wolverine being played by Jackman in these new set images is the same Wolverine seen in past X-Men titles.
Reynolds’ Deadpool has been confirmed by Jackman in the past to be jumping to different timelines throughout Deadpool 3, meaning it is highly possible that the Wolverine seen below is just one out of many variants to come.
Deadpool 3 Set Video: Wolverine Vs. Deadpool
See below for the first official set video of both Jackman and Reynolds facing off against each other, in character, whilst filming scenes for Deadpool 3.
Although the specifics as to what is being filmed remain a mystery, one thing’s clear, Jackman’s Wolverine is not a fan of Reynolds’ Wade Wilson aka Deadpool.
Not only can Jackman be seen wearing the fully comic-accurate Wolverine suit in the video above, but his Wolverine is staying true to the love-hate relationship with Marvel’s merc with a mouth aka the undying Deadpool himself.
Deadpool 3 Set: 20th Century Fox Logo
A giant and seemingly destroyed 20th Century Fox logo can also be seen in the background of the set, the studio that famously owned the movie rights to these characters pre-Disney purchasing Fox and renaming it 20th Century Studios.
This will, of course, be a direct reference to Disney’s merging with then 20th Century Fox now 20th Century Studios, potentially in a completely new timeline.
Deadpool 3 Footage: Wolverine & Deadpool’s Arm?!
Jackman’s Wolverine can even be seen throwing Deadpool’s severed arm at him which seemingly causes Deadpool to be thrown through a cement wall!
Staying true to how the two Marvel mutants treated each other in the comics, fans can rest easy knowing that Deadpool 3 is set to bring a lot of childhood memories to life.
Jennifer Garner will also be joining the two stars as Elektra, another Marvel character who Garner has portrayed two times in the past.
Also joining Reynolds and Jackman include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Matthew Macfadyen, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Rob Delaney as Peter, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Emma Corrin, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, and Stefan Kapicic as Colossus.
More casting announcements will be made at a later time.
Deadpool 3 is currently set to release on May 3, 2024.
